Yoga doesn't have to mean squeezing yourself into a one-size-fits-all group class.
Private yoga sessions give you personalized instruction based on your body, your experience, and what you want to be able to do. Maybe you want better mobility for lifting or hiking. Maybe you're working toward your first crow pose or forearm stand. Maybe you've never taken a yoga class and want to learn the basics without wondering what everyone else in the room is doing.
Or maybe you're simply noticing that your body doesn't move quite like it did 20 years ago, and you'd like to keep it moving well for the next 20.
That's exactly what these sessions are for.
With decades of experience in strength training, athletics, yoga, and movement, Heather combines yoga with a practical understanding of how active bodies move, train, recover, and change through midlife.
Mobility and flexibility for everyday life, lifting, hiking, running, and other activities

Private sessions are a great fit if you:
Are in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond and want to keep moving well
Lift weights, hike, run, cycle, play sports, or otherwise live an active life
Want yoga to complement what you're already doing
Have a specific mobility, flexibility, balance, or yoga goal
Want to learn more advanced skills with individualized instruction
Are completely new to yoga and would feel more comfortable learning one-on-one
Want personalized guidance instead of trying to figure everything out from videos or a crowded class
You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to know yoga terminology. And you definitely don't need to be able to touch your toes.
We'll start wherever you are.
Anyone looking for a traditional guided flow class. I do offer those on my schedule!
People with medical conditions requiring physical therapy or specialist care
Private yoga gives you personalized instruction. Virtual private yoga gives you that same one-on-one attention wherever you are.
I'm based in Arizona, but you don't have to be. We meet live on Google Meet (similar to Zoom), which means you can work with me from your home, your gym, or wherever you have enough space to roll out a yoga mat.
There’s no commute, no studio schedule to work around, and no need to live nearby. You choose a time that works for you, set up your camera so I can see you move, and we work together in real time.
During your session, I can watch your movement, give you immediate feedback, help you adjust your alignment, offer different options for your body, and break down poses or skills step by step.
Choose your session time and book directly.
Complete the intake form before your first session.
Check your email for your confirmation and Google Meet link, then set up your space so your full body is visible on camera.
That's it. I'll meet you exactly where you are.
In-person private sessions may also be available for Northwest Peoria, Vistancia, and Phoenix-area clients. Email heather@heathermonthie.com to discuss availability.
Life happens. I totally understand. Sessions may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before your appointment. Please contact Heather directly if something comes up within 24 hours. All purchases are final. Sessions must be used within six months of purchase.
Whether you're learning your first Downward Dog, trying to improve your mobility, or determined to finally get upside down, your session starts with where you are and where you want to go.
